NPO:2020

(NPO:2020 loses its validity on 30.9.2025. Surveillance audits for already certified customers are possible until then. There is the possibility of certification according to ISO 9001:2015).

Incentive

The NPO label is conducive to improved orientation towards members/customers and hence also increased acceptance among the relevant parties. It generates more confidence in the work of the NPO, clearly delineating responsibility and authority and increasing the role of interfaces as points of liaison. It is a neutral and recognised certificate, attesting to management skills, performance efficiency, higher levels of transparency within an organisation, optimisation of complex processes and better control capability in management, marketing and resources.

Outcome

The NPO label enables the following: organisation and implementation of a system of management identified as the best available by the established standards; a documented management system; a proven course of development; an improved focus on the customer and therefore increased acceptance; satisfaction of the growing requirements brought about by economic and social change; fulfilment of the demand for effective and customer-friendly provision of services.

Target groups

Non-profit organisations of all kinds and sizes: foundations, associations, private institutions, organisations of the health, social and cultural sectors etc.

Validity

3 years - there is an annual audit to ensure that standards are being maintained and a recertification audit after 3 years.

Recognition

The SQS certificate of conformity with NPO has national recognition.

Combinations

The NPO label can be combined with ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 45001 (health and safety) as well as with other standards.
