CWA 15374:2005

Requirements to suppliers of products containing security elements

Incentive

This CEN standard was created for Intergraf, the International Confederation for Printing and Allied Industries a.s.b.l. in Brussels. The main motivation for companies in the security printing supply industry to be certified according to this international standard is that they can use the certification to demonstrate to clients and public institutions that they have an internationally recognised security management system that benefits from the latest technical advances. Certification is carried out in line with internationally accepted criteria by INTERGRAF a.s.b.l. in Brussels.

Outcome

The CWA 15374 certificate confirms worldwide recognition as a supplier to the security printing industry. It guarantees that security aspects and the management system will be reviewed by independent third parties (reduction of external audits). Audits focus on the security management system. The certificate secures market differentiation.

Target groups

Companies operating as suppliers in the field of security and high security printing worldwide.

Validity

3 years - there is an annual audit to ensure that standards are being maintained and a recertification audit after 3 years.

Recognition

The INTERGRAF certificate is internationally recognised and is valid worldwide.

Combinations

CWA 15374 can be combined with ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), ISO/IEC 27001 (information security management system), GoodPriv@cy® (privacy seal), FSC COC (certification of timber and paper processing companies).
