Incentive

For pressure equipment from category II, which falls under the Pressure Equipment Ordinance, the manufacturer must undergo a conformity assessment procedure. SQS, as a notified body for pressure equipment (NB 1250), verifies compliance with the essential safety requirements and supports the manufacturer from the design to the final inspection during the manufacturing of pressure equipment.

Target groups

Manufacturer of pressure equipment based in the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and the Pressure Equipment Ordinance SR 930.114.

Validity

The conformity assessment attestation according module A2 is valid for one year.

Recognition

SQS is an accredited inspection body (type A) in the technical field of pressure equipment in accordance with SR 930.114 Ordinance on the Safety of Pressure Equipment (Pressure Equipment Ordinance, PED) (Directive 2014/68/EU on the making available on the market of pressure equipment) for internal production control with supervised pressure equipment checks at random intervals Annex III - Module A2. SQS is a notified body with the identification number 1250 for all product categories that fall under the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU. The SQS certificate for pressure equipment is internationally recognized.

Combinations

Conformity assessment procedures in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU can be carried out simultaneously with certification in accordance with the ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 3834-2 (certification of welding companies) standards.
