Energy has become a big issue in society and in enterprise. The ISO 50001 standard is an international definition of the requirements in terms of systematic energy management. Companies demonstrating fulfilment of these requirements can increase their energy efficiency and reduce the environmental impact caused by their energy use. They can show that their actions are prompted by their own sense of duty and commitment and that they have due regard for legal requirements. SQS has years of professional experience and extensive expertise in validation and certification processes relating to energy use and carbon footprint. This explains why the SQS certificate for energy management systems conforming to ISO 50001 is held in high regard and accepted all over the world.
ISO 50001 forms the basis for the continuous improvement of energy management and energy efficiency, including the reduction of environmental impact caused by energy use.
